Elliott and I got to update our wardrobe a bit. I hope this doesn’t sound like gloating, because it doesn’t mean to be. I am truly excited and feeling rewarded for making such a positive change in our lives. So we went to buy just a few new things so we wouldn’t be walking around pulling up our pants all the time. Elliott traded in his 34 waste (which I think was big on him before anyway) for a 32 and I am trading in my 8/10 pants for a solid 6. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to fit into a 6. I am not sure when the last time was that I wore a size 6. I do recall around my college graduation I made some really unhealthy eating decisions to loose weight, like commonly skipping lunch which it turns out works and I lost some weight and looked pretty thin for a while in 2002 although I don’t think that lasted very long. The beautiful part is now I am eating healthy organic fruits and veggies, free range no antibiotic meats, some fats mostly nuts, and protein in the form of powder when we have shakes. So our meals are well balanced and full of good whole foods. I feel good. Full of energy. And I am thinner. Who could complain.
The down sides. We haven’t eaten out in a month. We no longer takes brakes to go get a soda, mocha, or other tasty beverages. We don’t eat snacks, so we don’t eat for 4-6 hours between meals. Which doesn’t mean we go hungry, we don’t, its just can add to a bit of boredom between meals.
Anyway, I was ecstatic I fit into a 6 I just couldn’t help but share it. I do wonder if a 4 is possible in my future, I am not sure. And I am not set on that. I more care about how I feel and look and I am pretty close to being content with my body composition. Our last weigh in as part of the 28 days is Tuesday so I will let you know our progress later this week.
