Hey Dad, its me Shiloh. I wanted to update you on my day since you left this morning on a train and I haven’t seen you all day. Mom has seemed sad all day and she was complaining about lacking inertia or stuck in static inertia or something like that. We went on a walk shortly after you left because I was restless and decided to stand at the door. What I really wanted was my kennel downstairs, how come you didn’t bring it down this morning? Mom did finally bring it down for me. If you don’t come back tonight I am not sure if Mom will be willing or able to lug it upstairs for me and we all know I sleep better in my kennel, I am slightly concerned.
I have been poo-ing like crazy today I lost count at about 5, I hope those bags you use to pick it up are cheap. I think it was either the apple or carrot you gave me. I don’t think it was the chicken backs because there is no way something that tastes so good could disagree with my tummy.
Anyway then this afternoon Mom took me to Point Isabel, she sure is a brave woman. I was mostly pretty good and came when she called. Oh I did take the biggest spill you could ever imagine. I was running after this one dog and then there was this other dog and it all happened so fast I am not sure what happened exactly but this one dog slid and rolled over a few times down this hill, sort of looked like a yard sale when someone is skiing or so I have heard. Anyway that dog wiped out right where I was headed so I tripped on him, or more like over him. and then I wiped out rolled a few times and also slid down the hill. Everyone standing around including Mom said “Ohhh….” but not a bad “oh”, more like a wow that was a crazy football tackle “oh”. After we all got up and started running the people seemed less alarmed. I think I am fine although I have been licking one of my legs, Mom says she will monitor to make sure I am ok.
Then I met some other dogs, got in the water like 8 times but Mom kept walking so I had to keep up. Then when we were on the other side on the islandish peninsula part and I saw this dog and lady with one of those sticks with a ball in it. She through the ball, the other dog ran, so I ran too. Then we sniffed each other and the other dog didn’t worry about his ball. So I picked up his ball sort of ran towards mom and then found a clear spot in the brush and licked the ball. Mom was saying something to me but I couldn’t hear her for some reason. Then I saw another dog, got distracted, and ran off. Mom got the ball and apologetically gave it back to the lady with the stick, I don’t know why she apologized it was the other lady’s dog who didn’t retrieve his own ball, I mean come on.
Lastly, this package arrived today in the mail with this pointy new collar in it. Mom put it on me when we got home from the park. I am not sure about it. I pawed at her for a minute but she never knows what I am saying and she didn’t take it off. It doesn’t hurt but it feels weird, could you talk to her about it? I miss you dad, when will you be back? Kisses.
