I try to eat gluten free 80-90% of the time which allows for a few “cheat” meals a week. Mostly I haven’t missed gluten except maybe for beer, I used to really enjoy a good beer. Although multiple times now I have proven that me and gluten don’t get along by binging on pizza (gluten in the crust) and beer (gluten from the grains used to make beer). The next day I don’t feel well, I am tired, and my face is slightly swollen, hmmm… not nice. So I try to remember that when I am faced with pastries, fresh baked bread, and other tempting items. One way to help fill the gaps is gluten free junk food. They have plenty of crackers, cookies, and all sorts of other items that are gluten free, however some of them are better than others. This is one case where I would have to say the manufacturer gets a “FAIL”.

The cookie on the left is the advertised cookie and the other cookie is what I really got. Now it did taste ok, the texture was no where near as soft as the picture. Even though the taste was ok I couldn’t get past the fact that the picture did not match the product. Gluten free cookies that don’t disappoint? Nana’s and Enjoy Life have so far been great tasting and with great texture!
